ASCIT Equipment Loans provides loans of laptop computers, audiovisual equipment and equipment supporting computer projection and display for classes, programs, and research within the College and Graduate School of the Arts & Sciences. This service is available to all faculty and graduate instructors within the College.
ASCIT Equipment Loans is a pick up/drop off service. This means faculty, staff and teaching assistants pick up and drop off equipment from New Cabell 219. We suggest that if you have a lot of equipment, you plan to check out an ASCIT cart or bring more than one-person come to pick up equipment. ITC Classroom Support services are available in the majority of the classrooms for A&S. Please identify any broken/or-failed equipment to the student on duty in 219 New Cabell Hall.
Using ASCIT Equipment in an ITC Classroom
ASCIT works closely with ITC Classroom Support. In fall 2007, most classrooms in New Cabell were appointed with ceiling-mounted LCD projectors and speakers mounted in the ceiling. James Hilton, Vice President and Chief Information Officer and his ITC generously supplied the equipment and the services of the ITC Classroom Support Staff.
Instruction for connecting the LCD projectors to laptops in the New Cabell classrooms is available on the laptops checked out by ASCIT.
If you need or would prefer a classroom that is fully equipped, please visit the ITC Labs and Classroom website.
